I have been in the finance industry since 1977 when I joined my father's accounting practice. Previously, I flew rescue helicopters for USAF in Southeast Asia and the US. I also taught for Bell Helicopter in Iran. I am a life-long resident of Jackson County Missouri. My wife of thirty-five years, Ann, is a retired French teacher.

Casey Hartsock

Casey started working for Wm Sunderland CPA, PC in 1996 as a high school student. She is now our Office Manager. She has also become an Investment Representative with H.D. Vest Investment ServicesSM, a non-bank subsidiary of Wells Fargo and Company . Casey earned her B.S. in Psychology from Central Missouri State University and lives in Kansas City with her husband Jeramie and daughters, Alexandra and Abigail. Barb Fowler

Barb started working for Wm Sunderland CPA, PC when it was formed in the 1960s and has worked directly with Bill Sunderland for nearly 30 years. Barb prepares income tax returns, does bookkeeping and payroll returns for our business clients and enjoys working with our business clients. Barb lives in Independence, MO with her husband Don.

Monika Sunderland

Monika is our IT Manager. She has been with the firm for over 22 years. She also provides our clients and office with the latest state of the art hardware and software solutions. Her areas of expertise are network implementation, hardware & software installations as well as troubleshooting. Other responsibilities include computer training ranging from fundamental computing to specialized software training. Monika provides our clients with valuable IT services at very reasonable rates. If you have any computer related issues, Monika would greatly appreciate the opportunity to work with you.

Scott Foree

Scott is a seasonal tax preparer who started working for Wm Sunderland CPA, PC in 2008. He began preparing taxes professionally in 1977. From 2003 through 2006, Scott worked as a tax examiner for the Internal Revenue Service.

Scott has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri and has completed the Graduate Certification Program in middle/secondary mathematics education from the University of Kansas. He lives in Overland Park with his wife Brenda and daughters Alison and Melissa, who are both in college.
